THE BLACK VITAL PROJECT
THE BLACK VITAL PROJECT– is an initiative that aims to address the vital needs of
Black people stateside and abroad; one individual, one family, one community at a time. We seek to bridge connections between the empathetic “Haves” and the deserving “Have nots”. To be clear, our intention is to mitigate suffering to whatever extent possible, by providing basic essentials that many of us take for granted.
Black people, young and old are often treated differently in every sphere and space; consequently, the impact on their lives are felt and manifested differently. It is a given, Black people, across the spectrum of life will continue to endure in the midst of adversity, but many will suffer and perish unnecessarily as a result of some form and degree of deficiency and neglect in a vital area of need.
A protracted history of systemic racism, disenfranchisement and marginalization, endorsed and funded by pernicious political and legislative machinations has effectively decimated the foundation of black families and communities all over the globe. While black folks will surely continue to find a way, as they always do, to carry on in the face of hardship and scarcity… THE BLACK VITAL PROJECT will stand up for and with them as a sentry and intervene wherever and however we can until…until occurs.
Our Targets for Change
We are dedicated to tackling food deserts, regions where affordable and nutritious food is scarce, in our commitment to combating health inequalities.
Mental Health and Suicide Prevention: We actively work towards fostering awareness, eradicating stigma, and enhancing accessibility to mental health resources to promote overall well-being.
Wealth and Financial Stability: Our objective is to confront systemic barriers, enhance financial literacy, and establish avenues for economic empowerment across diverse communities.
Uplift Uganda 24
- Uplift Uganda 24– We are heading back to Uganda, Africa this summer for another impactful mission trip.
- LockedIn Global will be providing mental-health care, non-invasive medical services and spreading positive energy during a series of informative and motivational conversations.
- Empowering Futures: Current Initiatives for Underprivileged Youth- Dedicated to providing essential necessities for underprivileged youth who may have been overlooked, ensuring access to fundamental items that can make their lives a bit easier. This includes shoes, fresh and well-fitting clothes, school supplies with accompanying bags, as well as essential items like linens, towels, and toothbrushes.
- Bridging the Digital Divide for Future Success– We are committed to leveraging our resources to empower youth with technological skills, guiding them in utilizing virtual tools to enhance and accelerate their journey toward success.
- Path to Lifelong Health: Non-Invasive Medical Solutions- Non- invasive medical treatment such as physicals and various forms of assessments to help bridge the gap to provide the opportunity to a longer, healthy, and happy life.
- Transforming Trauma into Triumph: Nurturing Resilience in African Youth- Countless young women and men in Africa encounter the challenging impact of early trauma, enduring setbacks like child abandonment, sexual abuse, homelessness, and overall mistreatment. Together, we aspire to reshape their paths towards hope, healing, and a brighter future. We’ll support their healing journey through motivational group conversations.
